Welcome. Eternal Memorial helps you preserve a life story, gently, in your own time. You don't need to be a writer. You share the memories; we help shape them into a beautiful, lasting story.

To begin, create a free account, then head to Start a Story. Everything you create is saved automatically and remains private until you choose to publish.

A Living Legacy is a story preserved while your loved one is still with us, often written together, in their own voice.

From Start a Story, choose Living Legacy. Add their name, the year they were born, and a hero photograph. You can then work through the guided interview at your own pace.

A Memorial is a story written in loving memory. From Start a Story, choose Memorial and add their full name, the years of their life, and a hero photograph.

You'll then be guided through the same gentle chapters (Personality, Family, Passions, Challenges and Legacy) so the story feels whole.

Open the story from your Dashboard and go to the Photos step. Drag and drop images, or tap to browse. You can reorder them, add optional captions, and replace the hero photo at any time.

We recommend a handful of meaningful photographs rather than every photo ever taken. The story is stronger for it.

Once the Story Builder drafts the biography, you'll see the full story: hero summary, chapters, life lessons and quotes. Edit any sentence, rewrite a paragraph, or regenerate a single section without disturbing the rest.

Nothing is published until you press Publish. Take an evening or take a month.

When you're ready, open the story and choose Publish & Preserve. You'll be taken to a secure Stripe checkout for the one-time Story Preservation fee ($99 AUD). You can optionally add Preservation Plus ($29 AUD/year) at the same time, or any time later.

As soon as payment is confirmed, the story is preserved with a permanent URL, Story ID and QR code.

Story Preservation ($99 one-time) publishes and preserves the story forever: a public page, permanent URL and QR code, with lifetime access.

Preservation Plus ($29/year) is an optional ongoing upgrade that lets you keep editing, add new photos and memories, receive family tributes, and grow the story across generations.

A Story Guardian is a trusted family member you invite to help care for the story over time. Guardians can be added from the story dashboard and will receive an email invitation to accept their role.

Guardians help ensure the story continues to be looked after by people who knew and loved the person it honours.

With Preservation Plus, family and friends can leave Legacy Messages and Tributes on the published story page — short reflections, memories and farewells.

As the story owner, you can review tributes from your dashboard and choose which to display. Tributes require an active Preservation Plus subscription.

Visitors to a published Memorial can light a Memorial Candle, a small, quiet gesture of remembrance shown on the page. Candles are available on published Memorials, including stories preserved with the base Story Preservation package.

From the published story's dashboard, you can download a beautifully formatted PDF keepsake of the full story and a high-resolution QR code to print, frame or include in a funeral programme. The QR code points to the permanent story URL and will never change.

When the time comes, a Living Legacy can be gently transitioned into a Memorial. From the story dashboard, choose Transition to Memorial and add the date of passing and any final memorial details.

The story keeps its permanent URL, Story ID and QR code. Nothing is lost. Only the framing changes, from preserved in life to in loving memory.

You can manage or cancel your Preservation Plus subscription at any time from the billing section of your Dashboard. Cancelling Preservation Plus does not remove the story. Story Preservation is permanent.

I can't sign in. Try resetting your password. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder.

My photo won't upload. Make sure it's a JPG, PNG or HEIC under 20 MB. Very large images from newer phones may need to be re-saved at a smaller size.

Payment didn't go through. Refresh the dashboard — Stripe sometimes takes a moment to confirm. If the story still shows as unpublished after 5 minutes, contact us and we'll sort it.
